I Was Heading Toward 60 and Needed To Lose Weight!I was heading toward 60 and thought I needed to be at a lower weight. I was trying but nothing was happening. After starting at Ideal Weight Loss, the weight and inches just melted away and when I turned 60, I was the smallest my husband had ever seen me!
It was so easy to follow the Ideal Protein diet because the food tasted so good and could be used in multiple ways using the recipes on the website with my veggies. Any time I had a question, my coach was there to answer it too. Also, I looked forward to the daily videos and many times would listen to them several times when I needed encouragement.
I know I'll be successful in keeping off my weight because of the habits I've learned along the way: portion control, eating my veggies, eating breakfast (something I never did) journaling my food intake, and making sure I eat enough protein.

I Finally Reached My Goal with Ideal Weight Loss!My turning point was when I had to push myself up just to get out of the chair! I was depressed and saw that I wasn’t going to be able to do the things I wanted when my husband and I retired! I didn’t want to end up like my mom, struggling with medical problems that would shorten my life span. One day I saw a friend that had lost 60 pounds on Ideal Protein, and I got moving and have never stopped!
I found Ideal Protein very easy to follow. I needed a program that told me what to eat and what not to eat. The food was easy to prepare and most importantly tasted good!
The recipes I got from IWL were great and I used them over and over again. I’ll continue to use these recipes in Phase 4 as I maintain my weight and healthy lifestyle. The Phase 4 workshop helped my learn to keep fats and carbs separate and eat at the right time of day! It is these lifestyle changes that will keep my successful! After reaching my weight goal, I stopped my blood pressure and anti-reflux medications and I plan to never go back to them!
Reaching and maintaining my healthy weight has helped me stay active and enjoy the outdoor activities that I love! Trapshooting, kayaking, hiking and travel keep my husband and me busy, in addition to our carpentry business! It was easy to stay on the diet!I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and a fatty liver. While I could take medicine for the blood pressure, only weight loss would prevent liver disease. My success depended on me finding food that I liked and then eating that food nearly every day. I committed myself to go “by the book” for the entire time, so I did not deviate (break the diet), even on holidays!
After the first week, my cravings subsided and it was fairly easy to maintain the diet. Having a coaching staff was critical in keeping track of my progress. The In-Body scale measurements, size measurements and the coach’s analysis guided me and reassured me that I was progressing on schedule.
To maintain my weight loss I am going to control both my quantity and nutritional level of my food. I am going to eat some IP snacks, instead of high sugar snacks!
